Commitment to inclusion
Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 1 June 2026
Our commitment
Auxilis AI Ltd is committed to ensuring that auxilis.ai is accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of ability, technology, or circumstances. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
This statement applies to the marketing website at auxilis.ai. It does not cover third-party platforms linked from this site, nor the Jackie product itself (which is governed by separate clinical and accessibility documentation provided to practices on deployment).
Measures we have taken
We have designed and built this website with accessibility as a foundational concern, not an afterthought. Specific measures include:
- Semantic HTML landmarks — every page uses proper
<header>,<main>,<nav>, and<footer>elements so that screen-reader users can navigate efficiently by landmark. - Logical heading hierarchy — each page has exactly one
<h1>and section headings follow a consistent descending order, enabling heading navigation. - Keyboard navigation — all interactive controls (links, buttons, form inputs, accordions) are operable entirely via keyboard. Focus indicators are visible and meet the WCAG 2.2 Focus Appearance requirements.
- Colour contrast — text and interactive elements meet the WCAG 2.2 AA minimum contrast ratios of 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text and UI components. Our design system uses a warm-neutral palette audited against these thresholds at every foreground/background pairing.
- Reduced-motion support — all scroll-driven animations and transitions
are suppressed for users who have enabled the
prefers-reduced-motionsystem preference. - Alternative text — meaningful images carry descriptive
alttext; decorative images and icons are markedaria-hidden="true"so they are ignored by assistive technology. - Accessible forms — all form controls have visible or screen-reader-only
labels associated via
for/idpairing. Required fields and error messages are announced programmatically. - Skip to content — a "Skip to content" link is the first focusable element on every page, allowing keyboard and screen-reader users to bypass the navigation.
- Self-hosted typefaces — all fonts are served from our own infrastructure, removing a common source of layout shift and third-party dependency.
- Responsive layout — content is fully readable and operable at viewport widths from 320 px upwards, and with browser zoom up to 400% without horizontal scrolling.
Jackie's "speak to a person" option
Our product, Jackie, is an AI voice receptionist for GP surgeries. We recognise that some patients may be unable or unwilling to interact with an automated voice system — whether due to communication needs, cognitive differences, hearing impairments, or personal preference. Jackie is explicitly designed to escalate any call to a human operator on request, at any point in the conversation, without requiring the patient to justify their reason.
This ensures that no patient is excluded from accessing their practice by the presence of Jackie. Clinical access always remains available via a human route.
Known limitations
We monitor the accessibility of this website on an ongoing basis. At the time of publication, no material WCAG 2.2 AA failures have been identified. However, accessibility is not a one-time exercise and we recognise that:
- New content added over time may introduce issues that are identified in subsequent audits.
- Third-party embedded content (such as video players or scheduling tools) may not meet the same standard; we select and configure third-party components with accessibility in mind, and we note limitations in context where they exist.
- Older browser and assistive technology combinations may exhibit behaviour outside our control. We test against current versions of NVDA with Chrome, VoiceOver with Safari (macOS and iOS), and JAWS with Edge.
Formal compliance status
This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard, specifically with respect to third-party embedded content outside our direct control.
We are working towards full conformance and undertake periodic reviews to identify and remediate any gaps.
How to report an accessibility issue
If you encounter an accessibility barrier on this website, or if you would like content in an alternative format, please contact us:
- Email: hello@auxilis.ai
Please describe the page you were visiting, the issue you encountered, the assistive technology or browser you were using (if known), and what you were trying to accomplish. We aim to respond within five working days.
If you are not satisfied with our response to an accessibility complaint, you may contact the Equality and Human Rights Commission (England, Scotland, and Wales).
Enforcement procedure
The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is responsible for enforcing the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) Accessibility Regulations 2018 (the "accessibility regulations"). If you are not happy with how we respond to your complaint, contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS) .
Note: as a private company we are not currently subject to the 2018 Regulations, which apply specifically to public sector bodies. We nevertheless voluntarily adopt their standard as our benchmark and hold ourselves to the same accountability.
Review of this statement
This statement is reviewed periodically, and whenever significant new content or functionality is added to the site. We are committed to keeping it accurate and current.
